New Statistic
With the rising gas prices I decided to add a new statistic
"Money Saved by Riding a Bike"
It will be based on a 20mi/gallon average, with the price per gallon being the daily low seen passing gas stations.
So far its been $58.43
July 4th I will be flying to Seattle to begin my journey. Using maps from Adventure Cycling I will be traveling the northern tier solo to Bar Harbor Maine. I will try and update the blog as my journey progresses. Friends I meet along the way please keep in touch by emailing me at hadlocna@email.uc.edu

How much are you figuring in for your cost per gallon of gas? . . . and only $58 for two weeks worth of travel?. . . seems low. Are gas prices in the northwest cheaper than here?
(Maybe your stats could also include the highest and/or lowest costs per gallon that you discover).
I bookmarked your blog journal for Grandma. She gets on regularly to see how you're doing.
Bye for now.
